2023 WA Maths Summer School *BY INVITATION ONLY*

WAMSS will take place from Sunday 15 January to Saturday 21 January inclusive, at the University of Western Australia, Crawley. This event is residential, with six nights’ full board accommodation at Trinity Residential College. You will stay in an en-suite twin room, sharing with a student of the same gender. Under exceptional circumstances, it is possible to arrange a single room, however this will incur an additional charge. 

The aim of the WA Maths Summer School is to provide an opportunity for exceptional high school students to enrich their mathematical understanding along with like-minded peers in a university setting. The WAMSS program allows students to engage with university-level coursework through lectures and workshops in Number Theory and Forensic mathematics, in addition to a series of guest lectures.

The cost for WAMSS is $1200 per student. This amount covers accommodation, all meals, plus the lectures and workshops that are integral to the Summer School. We do not wish WAMSS to be prohibitively expensive, and if it is, we encourage you to seek financial support from your school.

Please note that if you are offered a place in the National Maths Summer School and take up that offer then you will receive a full refund for the WA Maths Summer School registration.
