Classroom Corner - Years 5 to 10 Classroom Routines to Build Mathematical Reasoning

How can we create classroom cultures where explaining, justifying and questioning become everyday expectations? Reasoning is at the heart of mathematics, yet many classroom conversations still focus on getting answers rather than explaining, justifying and making connections. In this practical Classroom Corner webinar, discover simple routines that can be embedded into everyday lessons to help students think, communicate and reason like mathematicians.

Coins, Cards and Chance - CRA approach to probability

The Maths in Schools professional learning team will explore how a Concrete–Representational–Abstract (CRA) approach can reshape the way Years 7–10 students engage with chance concepts. Participants will look at moving from simple physical materials - such as coins, cards and spinners — to using digital tools to streamline data collection, visualisation and analysis.
