The Service to MAWA award is to recognise someone who has made a long-term (at least five years) contribution in supporting MAWA events, and whose significant commitment directly supports MAWA’s mission to promote mathematics, mathematics education, and its importance to society.
If you have a worthwhile candidate you would like to nominate, please complete the form below. Successful recipient’s will be recognised in November at the WA Annual Maths Conference.
Process for awarding Service to MAWA recognition:
- Anyone can nominate a person for Service to MAWA recognition and must do so by completing a nomination form. This will include an outline of the persons contribution.
- A nomination form can be downloaded from the MAWA website.
- After a nomination is received by MAWA it is presented to the MAWA Executive for consideration.
- The MAWA Executive will consider the nomination based on the information provided and supporting evidence.
- The MAWA Board will be informed of all nominations and successful nominees.
