Journals provide problem-solving lessons to introduce new concepts for students from grades 1-7 once per week.
Each of the problems requires students to do their own thinking rather than simply to use memorised formulae,and are adjustable for students at all levels. Journals have easy-to-understand teacher sections for annotating student work making assessment a breeze! Problems cover all strands of Knowledge and Understanding, and are directly aligned to the draft ACARA syllabus. Grade 1 and 2 Journals also contain Application and Backwards problems, and are used 3 times per week.
Blasts support and guide students through enquiry learning experiences to find the patterns in mathematics for students from grades 3 to 7 twice per week.
Every activity is aligned to both QCAR and ACARA, and provides a range of question types from the very simple, to non standard Backwards problems written in NAPLAN style Blast books are aligned between the grades as much as possible, making it much easier to teach multi-age or multi-stage classes.
Teaching Resource books provide simple, clear guides for implementing the program.
