Mathematics and Playing Cards!

A recent survey of Victorian teachers revealed
that a whopping 98% of them used games as a
regular feature of the mathematics lessons.
Games are engaging and often easily
differentiated to suit the needs of all students.
During this Classroom Corner the focus will be
on number games that use playing cards as they
are inexpensive and easily available. Many of
these games are great for warmups, group
rotations or used at home for consolidation and
fun!
Learn to play highest number, crossing the
swamp, part-whole triangles, nearest to one and
more if time permits!
