Description

Moving from whole numbers to decimals and fractions is a cornerstone of middle years mathematics, but do you have students who have difficulties or misconceptions with them? Students who cannot work with fractions and decimals will struggle with higher order concepts in high school. Students need to not only have strong whole number place value knowledge but also the ability to transfer their knowledge and make connections with fractional and decimal representations. This webinar explores the reasons for why students develop these misconceptions and how we can use planning, high quality lessons and assessment tools to diagnose and treat them.
